Day 08 and Day 09

Firstly today, by popular demand (at least one person has asked!!) here is our current "glamping" kitchenette set-up.

Here are the latest updates.......

Day 08

The plastering is done now and the kitchen has coving fitted. The utility will have the coving done next week.

Day 09

Today the new window went in and the radiator was sited in it's new position.

Day 00 to Day 07

This is it. The time has arrived. It is only 4870 days since we moved in and we finally get a new kitchen...

The old one has been showing signs of age for years. The cooker hob stopped working a long time ago and we have been using a two ring hob we bought from Argos for about 3 years!!

This Blog is a bit of a diary of the whole process from just before work started to what will be the finished thing. Enjoy.


Day 00

We have spent a couple of weeks moving out of the kitchen and have set up a wee kitchenette in the conservatory. This is it empty.

Day 01

This is what I came into from work!!!

Day 02

Things have slowed down a bit now. The electrician has done the first part of his work and we can now see the shape and size of the Kitchen & utility.

Day 03

Some of the plasterboard went up today and the work on the window lintel was done too - important to stop the wall falling down!!!

Day 04

The rest of the plasterboard went up today so we can now really see the shape and sizes of the rooms.
